2. Introduction to Office 2010 - Discussion and Demos
- Must be installed by Fall 2010 school Year
- Yourself: SWSD Computers - Software Installers Page found in the App Launcher
- Work Order: Techs will make arrangements to install for you

TIP: When searching for or opening files from within software: Notice the File Type at bottom - its acting like a filter! or use My Computer to find files, not from within program.

- TASK: Word 1: Find and View Resources for Word 2010. Observe Ribbons, Groups, Commands and Dialog Box Launchers. Highlight and use the in text menus. Live Previews. Worksheet that runs to two pages - Adjust Margins so it fits on one page. See how to print two sided - if supported by printer. Customize a Ribbon.

- TASK: Word 3: Microsoft "5-Minute Make Overs" where they show you how to use features of Office 2010 to improve some existing docs. I have provided the templates for you - can you make them look "better" the way Microsoft does?
- TASK: Word 4: Reference Ribbon - add citations, table of contents, etc. to a sample research paper.
- TASK: Word 5: Track Changes TIP: Google Docs a better way of doing this now? Maybe great for feedback to students on an assignment doc!

- Item Analysis of Assessment can be downloaded in CSV or Excel format from Performance Tracker.
- Reports tab | Item Analysis - Assessment Scores report
- School/Team/Grade Level student information can be exported to CSV or Excel by Guidance/Secretaries/Tech Coaches
- Just send an email - very helpful for grade level leaders planning a field trip, or team captians
